To those travelling into the pearl of Africa, Entebbe International Airport (EBB) is the main gateway international air travel. Situated approximately 40 km southwest of the capital city, Kampala, it sits on the northern shores of Lake Victoria, offering exceptional and smooth arrivals into East Africa.

This article provides a detailed, step-by-step guide on what to do after landing at Entebbe Airport.
Please make sure you travelled with the name and phone number of your guide and your company on you. This will have been sent to you before you travel. After your arrival at the airport, go to the arrivals buildings and follow the following steps.
Health measures
Always be well prepared to present the necessary details concerning your heath. Depending on the measures put up, be in position to show the necessary requirements for example the Yellow Fever certificate.
Immigration
Always present your visa (which you bought in advance online) or be prepared to buy one on arrival if you are required to be with one (remember some countries are visa free so you won’t need to buy one).
Baggage reclaims
collect your baggage from the conveyor belts. Free trolleys are available. Should your luggage not arrive, airport staff will direct you to the office within Arrivals, where you can get help.
Security screening
Make sure you pass your baggage through a final screening (‘x-ray’) machine.
Arrivals Foyer
Exit into Arrivals foyer where, depending on your time of arrival, you will find ATM machines, forex bureau, cafes, toilets, phone company shops, an information desk and the office of the Association of Uganda Tour Operators (AUTO) of which we are a member.
Meeting up with your guide
When you are done with the necessary requirements at Arrivals Halls, you will join other traveller and exit to the waiting area where your driver guide will be waiting from. He will have a placard with your names for easy identification.
You will also see armed Police and security staff all around the airport. This is normal and should not alarm you.
NOTE
At some extent, when you can not be able to see our guide, please don’t be stressed, Ugandans are very friendly and loving people, please talk to them and ask if they can help at some time.
Here if you still can’t find your guide, please resort to calling or sending a message to your travel company. If your guide has been delayed for any reason, you can wait for them at one of the airport cafes.
Meeting with your driver representative.
If you are being met by a hotel representative, follow the procedures above and look for them in the crowd outside Arrivals, holding a sign with either your name or their hotel name. Before exiting out at the airport, the guide will have to go and pay the parking ticket at a nearby payment machine. This may take a few minutes.
After meeting up with your respective guide, you will then embark on your journey to your next destination.
